Commuter Routes

Due to high gas prices, Mayor Len Pagano of St. Peters has proposed 2 commuter bus lines to St. Louis County.  One would run from the “Park & Ride” lot near Hwy 40 & Hwy 94 to Chesterfield Mall; the other would run from the “Park & Ride” lot near I-70 and Hwy 94 to Hanley MetroLink Station.

The Mayor proposes paying for these commuter lines by adding a “surcharge” to the cost of a Metro Bus ride. 

The Mayor along with St. Charles County Executive Steve Ehlmann have met  with representatives from Metro to discuss the feasibility of and funding options for these proposed lines.  Denise Liebel, member of the Transit Authority, also participated in the initial meeting.
