Do you need transportation to work, college or tech school in St. Charles County? If so, you can now “van-pool” on OATS for $5!

  • Work Force Transit can meet the needs of the general public
  • Vehicles are wheelchair accessible
  • Work Force Transit matches riders living near one another, traveling to near-by destinations at similar times.

There are two ways to access Work Force Transit:

  1. Individual Rider requests—Ride request information is entered into data base to be matched with other riders living near one another and traveling to similar destinations on the same days, at similar times.  The more requests, the more likely it is that matches will be made—and rides provided.  Contact Vito Lucido at Delta Center at (636) 926-8761.
  2. Employer/Destination requests
    • Workers throughout St. Charles County access Work Force Transit to BCI.  Contact Stacey or Becky at BCI at (636) 978-4300.
    • Vocational Rehabilitation is identifying students who, with access to WF Transit, would attend St. Charles Community College.  Contact Chris Howrey at VR at (636) 940-3300.
    • Discussion is underway for a route from Troy in Lincoln County to Wentzville.  To inquire about this or other potential Employer/Destination routes, contact Vito Lucido at Delta Center at (636) 926-8761.

About this Pilot Project
OATS was awarded a grant through East-West Gateway Council and administered by Metro Transit St Louis to provide group transportation via OATS vans.  Reduced fare coupons can be purchased through Administrative Agents at rate of $5 per 1-way ride.

At end of this pilot project, September, 2013, cost per 1-way ride reverts to $11 per ride unless underwriting is obtained from employers (grocery stores or discount stores, hospitals) or cities (Wentzville, St. Peters, etc.) or “destinations” (Mid-Rivers Mall)
